Shosetsu

In Japanese seasons, November contains 3 of the 24.

  20. Soko ("frosting") Oct. 23 - Nov.7 when it starts frosting.
  21. Ritto ("start of winter") Around Nov. 8 - Nov. 22 When the winter season starts.
  22. Shosetsu ("small snow") Around Nov. 23 - Dec. 7 when a light snowfall can be seen.

I can tell that Shosetsu has begun already because it has already began snowing!

Snowing outside of the Okiya~
Even though I was only wearing a casual kimono, I did put on my Dochugi! I grabbed a Jyanome umbrella too, just to keep the snow out of my hair! It is so painful to have to return to the hairdressers.  I will do everything I can to avoid it!!
